We hold our events on the lands of the Jinaburra and Gubbi Gubbi Peoples. We acknowledge their elders past and present.

They are the keepers of the ancient stories of this place.

Welcome to Outspoken for 2024

We’re in the process of putting together a program for the year. We plan to hold six events.

We now have two events confirmed.

Our first event will be with Bri Lee, on Friday April 12th. She’ll be talking about her new (debut) novel The Work (see above and in Upcoming Events)

Our second confirmed event will be with Hugh Mackay on Friday 14th June. He’ll be talking about what he describes as his final book The Way We Are. The introducing author will be Simon Cleary.

We held six events last year, with Chris Sarra, Alexander McCall Smith, Kim Mahood, Anna Funder, David Marr and Tony Birch. Our introducing authors were Joanna Jenkins, James Kirby, Louise Martin-Chew, Angela O’Keeffe, Mirandi Riwoe and Melissa Ashley.
